BOOK LAUNCH LIST · UPDATED OCTOBER 19, 2026

Launch-list privacy

This signup records interest in The Bone Betrayal. It is not a purchase, a paid preorder, or a guarantee that a copy has been set aside.

What is recorded

When you submit the form and agree to book updates and this notice, the website records your email address, consent version, and signup time in UTC. It also records technical information to help Catalyst Health understand audience reach and referral sources: connection IP address, any separately labeled IP observation supplied through hosting headers, browser timezone and UTC offset, browser language, referring website/page where available, landing-page path, and campaign source, medium and name where present in the page address.

These are location clues, not precise geolocation. IP information can identify a hosting proxy or VPN; browser timezone can be chosen by the visitor. The form does not request GPS permission, a postal address, medical information or payment details. Full referrer query strings are not retained.

Storage, notifications and exports

Email and visitor metadata are encrypted by the application before storage in the hosting database. An authorized administrator can decrypt them to download a private CSV. The export key is kept server-side as a hash; the public website does not expose subscriber records.

A new saved signup also produces an administrative notification to [email protected], containing the email, UTC timestamp and audience/source information. This creates another copy in that administrative mailbox, protected by its mail account controls rather than the signup database’s application encryption. Notification acceptance/failure and retry state are recorded so a mail failure does not lose your registration. A lost gateway acknowledgment can cause a repeated administrative notification, identified by the same signup reference.

Catalyst Health may use these records for this book’s launch and availability updates, managing registrations, understanding approximate audience distribution and sources, and supporting site security. Your consent does not authorize unrelated marketing. No order or charge is initiated.

Removing your signup

The first successful signup provides a private removal link. Save it and keep it private. Where browser storage is available, the site also stores its private token locally under a hash of your email, so a repeat signup in the same browser can retrieve the same valid link. A signup from another browser does not replace the original private token.

Opening the removal link does not delete anything until you press the confirmation button. Confirmation removes the signup and its associated metadata from the active database. It cannot automatically recall copies already sent to the administrative mailbox or downloaded in a private CSV. For assistance or removal of such copies, contact [email protected].

Hosting and browser processing

Hosting and mail services may process ordinary access logs and delivery information as part of providing the site. The application uses short-lived request limits and a hidden anti-spam field. Request-limit identifiers remain in server memory and are not themselves a public subscriber directory. Browser receipt storage supports your removal link and is not an advertising tracker.
